How the Astra Sensor Helps Prevent Water Damage
The Astra Sensor combines leak detection, temperature monitoring, and tamper detection in a compact device. It reports when something changes and checks in to keep the system informed, so you know when to act.
A moved sensor does not go unnoticed.
A small magnet marks its place. Astra notices when the sensor moves away.

In the right place.
The sensor rests above a discreet magnet fixed to the floor, near a potential leak.
A positioning reference, not a water sensor.

Moved. Not forgotten.
Lift the sensor: the magnet stays on the floor. The sensor detects that it is no longer in place.
The small magnet reveals the difference.

The panel lets you know.
Orion displays a displacement warning and identifies the affected sensor.
A warning first, before the configured alarm delay.

Still displaced? An alarm.
If the sensor stays away beyond the configured delay, the warning becomes an alarm on the panel.
After the configured delay. This sequence compresses elapsed time.

Back where it belongs.
Place the sensor back over the same magnet, at its original monitoring location.
The magnet stays fixed throughout.

Its return is detected.
Once the panel receives the restored state, the displacement condition is resolved. A confirmation may still be required.
Condition restored. Confirm on the panel when prompted.

Everything is back in place.
After confirmation, Orion shows no anomaly. The sensor is back at its intended location.
After confirmation.
Illustrated sequence and panel interface. Magnet supervision must be enabled. Timing depends on your configuration.
Expand Your Prevention
Place Astra Sensors in high-risk areas like under sinks, near water heaters, and in basements for broader coverage.
